Acdev acquired this property as part of the Quins Marine group of properties acquired in 2008.
A prominent two level building, completed in 1927, the building has some heritage significance although it has been substantially altered and added to over the years.
With the help of architects, Hames Sharley, and consultants, Cundall, Acdev are undertaking a significant redevelopment of the property which was originally built as a milk factory before being used by the Quin family for its marine business.
We are seeking to convert the building to an office building to the highest possible standards of green building requirements, including an aim for complete electrical self-sufficiency and water independence.
This vision has been rewarded, and following an application process assisted by Cundall, the Acdev group have been awarded funding from both the Green Building Fund and the Building Innovation Fund.
This showcase project is expected to be completed in late 2011.
